RAW VEGAN PROTEIN SLABS

My first recipe for this website had to be something chocolately that pretty much everyone could enjoy (sorry about the nuts though..)
No cooking needed – experiment with different protein flavours, nuts and nut butters to see what you can come up with. I am a firm believer that recipes should be a guide. Make them your own!
RAW VEGAN PROTEIN SLABS
A two layered raw vegan chocolate pudding.
Servings: 9 squares

Equipment
- Food Processor
Ingredients
- 130 g pitted dates
- 65 g vegan chocolate protein powder or whey if not vegan
- 100 g mixed nuts
- 40 g cocoa powder
- 2 bananas
- 100 g nut butter
- 30 g maple syrup or honey if not vegan
Instructions
- Soak dates in warm water for 30 minutes, then drain
- Mix together dates, nuts, and 1/2 the cocoa powder in a food processor until well blended
- Spread mixture in a square baking dish until evenly distributed, and press down gently with a spoon
- Mix together bananas, nut butter, syrup, and remaining cocoa powder in the food processor until well blended
- Spread mixture over bottom layer until evenly distributed
- Place in freezer for 30 minutes
- Cut into 9 squares. Store in the freezer whatever you don't have!

Is there a possible substitute for the bananas please?
